Legislative Pay Raises and Pensions
 

As State Senator, I am proud of the fact that I am the only one of Pennsylvania’s 50 Senators who has voted AGAINST every legislative pay raise and pension increase during my tenure in the General Assembly (1995 – present).  For the record, I’m the only Senator who voted against all of the following: 

·        1995 Legislative Pay Raise

·        2001 Legislative Pension Increase

·        2005 Legislative Pay Raise 

Furthermore, I have refused to accept the higher legislative pay raises and pension increases—which are YOUR tax dollars. 

Public service is a public trust.  My record and my actions reflect my strong commitment to honor the trust you’ve placed in me.  I am privileged to hold the office of State Senator and to serve the people of the 18^th District.
